What is the sports premium?
The Primary school PE Premium is a grant provided for schools to spend on improving the quality of PE and sport for all their children. This funding is expected to continue until at least 2022. This funding can only be spent on PE and sport provision in schools.
Using the PE Funding in 2021/2022.
In the light of a new year and far broader opportunities, our PE Premium will be aimed at providing a range of experiences to ensure that all children remain active. We hope to build healthy habits for life through our provision. The document below outlines our spending plans for the year.
Using the PE Funding in 2020/2021.
During the coronavirus pandemic we endeavoured to keep our pupils as active as we possibly could. We fully recognised how important this was for them in both supporting their physical health and also their mental wellbeing. The document below outlines our plans and intentions for the use of the PE funding in 2020/21.
Using the PE Funding in 2019/20
The report below show how we used the funding in the preceding academic year and the impact that it had. The highlights included participation in inter school sport, a greater emphasis on intra school competitions and new after school clubs. Parents and local clubs have continued to be involved in both the provision and celebration of sport. We were very pleased to achieve the Silver Games Mark award. We continued to offer swimming lessons to all pupils in Key Stage 2 and some Pupils in Key Stage 1 up to the closure of our local swimming pool at the start of the first National Lockdown (March 2020).
