Intent

Children at Earl Soham Primary School become confident designers and makers, seeing the impact of design all around them and learning to evaluate and share opinions about design. 

Implementation

We follow the Cornerstones curriculum which builds on knowledge and skills as the children progress through the school. We aim to offer the children authentic opportunities, giving them the chance to design, make and evaluate for a purpose. They also study examples of design across the disciplines, learning to evaluate and share opinions and ideas about what they see. 

Impact

By the time that children leave Earl Soham Primary School they have had a range of opportunities to design and make in a variety of disciplines, building confidence, knowledge and skills.
