Blue Whales

Blue Whale Class are our youngest group. Within the class are Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 supported by a minimum of three adults, Mrs Stoney- the class teacher, Mrs. Lock- our HLTA, Mrs Avery and Mrs Nesling- our teaching assistants. Despite being the smallest in the school, they have the biggest classroom and a lovely outdoor play area which supports their independent learning. Mrs. Stoney is an amazing artist and co-ordinates the subject through the school. She gets very excited about our Arts Week each year! Mrs Lock is an ELSA (Emotional Learning Support Assistant) and leads sessions with small groups and individuals.

The children quickly learn to enjoy the family feel of our small school and take part in whole school activities confidently. They love playtimes when they can take advantage of our beautiful grounds and meet with their Year 6 buddies, who work with the staff to settle in our new cohort.

Find out what's going on in Blue Whale Class by looking at our photos and reading the class news!

Green Turtles Class

Green Turtles Class are our Year 3s and 4s. They are a very lucky year group as they have our resident 'drama llama', Miss Cave, as their class teacher. Miss Cave had a previous life as a drama teacher in secondary school but eventually saw the light and joined us! She is supported by Claire who doubles up as a Midday Supervisor. The children really enjoy their class and tell me that their favourite lessons so far are Drama, Art, Maths and English!

The class is a small one with 16 children. Despite this, they have the biggest singing voices!

Stellar Sealions

The Sealions are our oldest children - Year 5s and 6. Part of the ethos of our school is to encourage the older children to support the younger and the Stellar Sealions have made a lovely start at that. Year 6 have all sorts of responsibilities and our current crop each have several roles including Eco lead, Reading Champion, Playground leaders, House leaders and Buddies to the new starters. The Sealions are taught by Miss Fielder- their class teacher- and Mrs Exton- our HLTA. As well as many other roles, Miss Fielder is our History star and co-ordinates the subject throughout the school . Mrs. Exton is our resident Eco-warrier , and leads the Eco group at school .
