This week we had a visit from local illustrator and author Hannah Farthing. She came in to talk to the children about her new book, The Bird that was Afraid to Fly. The book is about courage, friendship and believing in yourself. One of the characters in the book is her Saluki Oliver who also came in for a visit, much to the delight of the pupils (and staff). She has also very kindly donated a copy of her book to the school. Big thank you to Hannah and Oliver for spending the morning with us.
