Eco Club's latest news

Earl Soham Primary has joined with the Sustainable Schools Suffolk Network and the Our Schools Our World initiative, which works with schools to:

integrate sustainability into all areas of their curriculum,

develop processes to support net zero,

plan for outdoor learning and nature connection

and provide opportunities for young people, their families and communities to tackle climate action.

The Our School, Our World programme includes our curriculum but also extends beyond it to our site and premises and our community activities.   The strands include: Biodiversity, Energy, Food, Travel, Water, Consumption and Waste.

We are working towards achieving the Our City, Our World Bronze Award by committing to integrate sustainability and climate change into all aspects of school life.

We have a very enthusiastic Eco-Council working hard to raise awareness and look after the environment. Autumn Term 2025 has focused on water use, pollution and conservation, followed by Energy - where we get it and how to use less of it.

Please take a look at our Our Schools Our World notice board to see what we’ve been up to and what changes you could make at home.
