Local Community

Earl Soham Village

Earl Soham is a thriving village approximately 3 miles from the town of Framlingham on the A1120. There are many village clubs and organisations to suit residents of all ages. The catchment area for our school includes the villages of Earl Soham, Cretingham, Monewden and Ashfield.

Earl Soham School is part of the Debenham Pyramid of schools, which includes Bedfield CEVCP School, Creeting St Mary CEVAP School, Helmingham Primary School,
Sir Robert Hitcham School, Debenham, Stonham Aspal CE Voluntary Aided Primary School and Wetheringsett CE Primary School

High Schools

At age 11 pupils transfer to either Thomas Mills High School (Earl Soham village residents) or Debenham High School (Cretingham, Monewden or Ashfield residents).

Collaboration

Our school works closely with other local small schools (Helmingham and Bedfield) enabling our pupils and staff to enjoy many shared activities. At the beginning of Year 6, children from all three schools join together in a residential trip to Sizewell for their African Adventure. This allows the children to get to know one another prior to High school and gives them opportunities to form friendship bonds.

Other Local Schools and early years providers

Other primary schools in the area include Dennington, Sir Robert Hitcham's, Easton and Wickham Market.

Early Years providers include Badingham Playschool and Easton Pre-School.
